Bonehead is a bean who impatiently drove around the boomgates at a level crossing and got run over by a train.
About[]
Bonehead loves his car and hates trains. That's because he's always in a hurry and hates waiting around for things. He believes that patience isn't a virtue; it's a waste of time. "Why can't HURRY UP be a virtue?" he says. Needless to say, when he's faced with the boom gates at a level crossing his impatience gets the better of him – and so does the 145-ton train.
Appearance[]
Bonehead appears to be a green, oval-shaped bean with shading around his eyes. After his death, he is almost cut into three pieces. Some glass (from the window) and a wheel, all from his car, are stuck inside him. In the old ending, he wore head bandages.

In the video, Bonehead is seen waiting at the boom gates. He was impatient and then drives around them quickly. But just after he drives around them, he notices a train coming to hit him, much to his shock. In the chorus, he is a Standard Dancer, but doesn't fully follow it, due to landing in the chorus after Stumble, and after the start.

Dumb Ways to Die (application)[]
Bonehead can be unlocked for the player's Train Station at the score 3200 in the old version and at the total score of 1920800 in the new version. In both versions, he is the 17th bean to arrive at the train station, and in the new version, he is the 96th thing that can be unlocked.
- Spelling Bean

In this minigame, you have to spell PATIENCE so Bonehead will wait at the train by tapping the letters. The game will not allow the player to place letters in the wrong place. If successful, Bonehead will wait for the train to go by and then drive. If they don't finish spelling it or if they don't tap the letters at all, he will drive around the boomgates and get hit by the train just like he did in the video.
- Crossing Catastrophe

An update gives him a new task. This time, the player needs to hold his car whenever he approaches a railroad crossing. There can be one railroad crossing, but in harder versions, there are two or three. If he gets past all the railroad crossings, Bonehead will happily raise his arm out the car window, but his happy moment is stopped by traffic and he will become sad. If the player fails to stop him, or if he doesn't pass all the railroad crossings, Bonehead will drive into the boomgates, knocking them away, and then gets hit by a train, much to his terror.
- The Brake-Up

Bonehead has a Valentine game where the player has to hold after he passes the stop sign. If done successfully, then he and Muttonhead (his girlfriend) share a romantic moment. Otherwise, he and Muttonhead fall off the cliff, resulting in a heart-shaped explosion.

There is a fourth game where the player must tap the screen to help Bonehead dodge all the red cars since he is going the wrong way. If done successfully, he leaves the circle and watches a drive-in movie where the start of the music video is playing. Otherwise, Bonehead will crash into a car, making him get out of his, and then another car hits him, leaving a trail of blood.

In a St. Patrick's Day minigame, Bonehead is looking on an online dating site (presumably Tinder), and finds Clod, dressed up as a beautiful girl. The player must swipe left when Clod appears, but swipe right when a pot of gold is shown.
If successful, Bonehead will have a party with the gold. Otherwise, Clod will murder Bonehead offscreen.
Dumb Ways to Die 2: The Games[]
Rainbow Run[]
Bonehead has a special St. Patrick's Day game, where he is walking on a rainbow. The player must tap the screen to make Bonehead jump over the cracks. If successful, he will hug a lot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Otherwise, he will fall down the crack.
Irish Polish[]
He also appears in Dimwit's St. Patrick's Day minigame, having a party with Dimwit if he successfully cleans the pot of gold.
Dumb Ways to Die 3: World Tour[]
Bonehead used to be available in Dumb Ways to Die 3 through gifts, but in version 1.03, he, Dimwit, Doomed and Ninny were removed to make space for the AR feature.
