Comparisons and Design[]

Lax is somewhat similar to Munchies.
- Both are blue.
- Both are peanut-shaped.
- Both are shown to have hobbies of eating.
Lax's appearance somewhat resembles the appearances of five other characters. They are Munchies, Putz, Loopy, Ruckus, and Ninny in his alternate appearance.
- Both Lax and Ninny are the fourth (or last) lines of their respective groups.
- Both Lax and Ninny are peanut-shaped.
In the video Metro - Dumb Ways to Die - BTS, an early animation showed him as a yellow peanut, similar to Ninny's alternate appearance, and the puke was neon green and didn't have carrot and corn.
According to Happy Fourth of July and a Facebook post, Lax's barf can change color if he eats certain food.
- In said video, he ate a Hot dog, and his barf was yellow, like the mustard.
- In the post, he ate chocolate, and his barf turned brown.
  - However, he may have not barfed and ate the hot dog and chocolate messily instead.

He and Putz are very similar.
- They have hair.
- They have visible tooth.
- They are holding something before they died.
- They are also the last lines of the respective groups.

As part of Australian/NZ Rail Safety Week of 2014, Dumb Ways to Die had an interactive activity game; Lax greeted people as they approached the game, and teaches them how to play the game.
He was one of the characters in dumbwaystodie.com before the Second Website Release was introduced.
- Also, he is the only dumbwaystodie.com character to do something after death, this being lying down with puke splat leaking onto the floor.
He is loosely similar to Munchies in terms of body shape and both also died from eating, but Lax has smaller eyes and has tufts of hair on top of his head, in which Munchies does not have.
According to the video Be wary of loose clothing, he has been hit by a train like Stumble, Bonehead, Putz and Phoney.
- His voice can be heard in the same video.
He is one of two characters to have their one of their minigames made easier in the app, the other one being Botch.
In an early storyboard, during his line, the screen was zoomed into his head. He also didn't have his ingrown top teeth.
In the winter-themed mini-game Cut the Ropes from Dumb Ways to Die 2: The Games, he reveals his skeleton when brutally peeled by Ninny.
Lax has the most minigames in the original game, with seven unique minigames (including seasonal ones).
He along with Numpty and Botch are the main characters of Christmas Chaos.
In Christmas Chaos, it is revealed that he cannot handle very spicy food.
